Contract position for 6 months, NJ, PowerDesigner 12.0!

Type of work:  CONTRACT only position
Duration: 6 months
Sarly type: W2 or H1 acceptable

Experience
At least 5 years of knowledge and application of Software Development lifecycle methods, approaches, and techniques are required. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required to consult with business owners, end-users, clients, vendors and other internal staff.

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
o       Facilitate communications between IT and the business
o       Provide consultancy and advice on functionality, applicability, and usability of technology solutions to project requirements

o       Capture, analyze, and document business requirements
o       Accurately translate and ensure traceability of  business requirements into use cases, functional requirements , etc. in the format as defined in the Software Development Life Cycle

o       Evaluate existing applications to identify areas of improvements
o       Perform functional analysis, working with business owners and technology contacts
o       Interact with software development groups in change control, issues resolution, requirements gathering, analysis and design, risk analysis, risk mitigation

o       Assist in the preparation of the user testing strategy and user testing execution plan
o       Verify the look and feel of testing output to ensure it meets the requirements of the business
o       Assist in coordination of software acceptance testing, resulting in Business area Signoff.
o       Consult with the Enterprise Architecture Office (EAO), Information Protection Office (IPO), and Solution Architecture Team on the SBU/FCE’s needs to ensure that the business strategies align with information technology architectural standards and guidelines

o       Manage tasks and provide status; working in conjunction with the Lead Business Systems Analyst to implement project activities

o       Prepare major milestones project schedules, cost estimates requests, issues logs, action items statements of work, use cases, and project-related documentation

o       Function as a contact for problem analysis and provide support for resolution of issues

o       Strong proficiency in technical aspects of assigned technology area including experience in implementation of technical solutions

Five, or more years of experience and general knowledge in systems analysis, design, development and documenting/testing.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary. Good interpersonal skills are required to function in a team environment and to work with business owners, end-users, clients, vendors and other internal staff.

Education
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, with coursework in the information processing or business-related curricula, or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
